Message From The Chair

Dear Friends,

First, and most importantly, thank you for supporting the Naugatuck Valley Community College Foundation. Whether you do so by generously donating financially, volunteering your time, advocating on behalf of a student, or simply visiting our website – we are truly grateful.

As Chair of the NVCC Foundation Board of Directors, I am honored to work with a dedicated group of Foundation board members who are committed to making higher education more accessible to all members of our community. With a sole mission of supporting NVCC and its students, we are fortunate to have generous community partners and individual donors who have been champions of our efforts.

The stress and strain of these past few years fell disproportionately on many Naugatuck Valley students. Many of our students find themselves lacking basic necessities, without reliable access to the internet and computers, experiencing loss of income, childcare issues, and facing food insecurities. However, our donors continue to stand in the gap for our students allowing us to increase student scholarships, emergency funds, food pantry services, and more.

I feel fortunate to be a part of the NVCC Foundation Board of Directors, helping students see their dreams become a reality and helping our community to thrive. Thank you for joining in our efforts to transform lives through the power of higher education. Together we can and will make a difference!

Sincerely,

Charles E. Pagano, Jr.
Chair, NVCC Foundation
