NVCC Foundation Celebrates Fifth Year of Advanced Manufacturing Scholarships

The Naugatuck Valley Community College Foundation is proud to announce the fifth year the Linde Skills PipelineTM Workforce Development Program will be offering scholarships to enroll in the Fall 2024 cohort of CT State Naugatuck Valley’s Advanced Manufacturing and Technology (AMTC) Program on the Danbury campus. This milestone marks a significant achievement in supporting the education and career development of students pursuing careers in advanced manufacturing.
Since 2018, Linde has donated over $500,000 to support Naugatuck Valley students with AMTC program scholarships covering 100% of tuition and fees. This collaboration aims to bridge the skills gap in the manufacturing industry by equipping students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in this dynamic field.
Highlights of the Program:
- Financial Support: Over the past five years, the program has awarded students with full tuition scholarships, textbooks and course materials, a technical equipment package, and funding for certification test fees.
- Industry-Relevant Training: The 10-month program provides students with the opportunity to train on state-of-the-art manufacturing technology preparing them for employment in high-tech manufacturing environments. Upon completion of program, students will have earned a certificate in Advanced Machine Technology.
- Career Opportunities: Graduates of the program have gone on to secure high-paying jobs with leading CT manufacturers including positions at ASML, Coronet, Memry Corporation/Resonetics, ARCH, M Cubed, M.S. Herman & company just to name a few.
